TJ, you misunderstood. For decades(4) I have been on a mission to invent It. It's now live. My point was to retain executive decision, but of course use the stupendously vast information collection and processing power of it to provide information and ideas for you to use to triangulate on everything. For example, if It tells you to jump off a cliff, I recommend you deny the suggestion.

The unfortunate paradox is that in less clear situations it will be difficult to avoid badly premised advice. Worse, you'll be stuck inside the decisions by morons who decide to obey their It advisors who might for example decide it's a great idea to attack Taiwan.

A couple of decades ago my brother did what his computer told him which was to resign as a 747 captain and retire. He should have carried on stacking money for another decade while enjoying the fun of flying in comfort on a very light schedule. It wasn't AI, just his spread sheets and false premises.

I can imagine It deciding a nuclear war might be a good thing to do. Plenty of mad military maniacs will agree.
