The truth hardly anyone recognizes about that indicator is that it answers this question. Fear and Greed Index - Investor Sentiment \| CNN "What emotion is driving the market NOW?" It is stated right on the top of the page that this is the question it seeks to answer. Right now, the market is being driven by "Extreme Fear". As long as this is the case, the market will go DOWN... To think otherwise is insanity. It does not matter whether it makes sense to you or not. It is what it is.
