Perception will only take your stock price so far. It has to be backed by earnings. If the earnings are there perception doesn’t matter. If perception affects your ability to do business thus depressing your earnings then that is an issue. Seems like the business is doing well and earnings keep growing. Eventually Qualcomm will be trading at a P/E of 2 if perception continues to hold down the stock price. Valuation doesn’t change the actual value of the company though. When the $hit hits the fan and investors scramble, rest assured Qualcomm will be a safe harbor in the storm of excess.
