Re: MOH

Have on my watch list. Could be a good alternative to UNH. MOH in a sub-sector of UNH and may see a dip if/when the Obama care expire and something else is installed like a direct medical sunside to the individual.

Did a little preliminary dive on this name. I like their sector

Molina Healthcare Inc. is a multi-state managed care organization participating exclusively in government-sponsored healthcare programs such as the Medicaid program and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), catering to low-income persons. The company provides managed healthcare services under the Medicaid and Medicare programs, and through the state insurance marketplaces. The company currently operates in two segments: Health Plans and Other. The company manages most of its operations through the Health Plans segment.
Molina offers various plans (primarily Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace/Exchange plans) in the following states (Note: availability can vary by county and program within the state):

Current States of Operation

Molina provides coverage in approximately 18 states, including:
  • Arizona

  • California

  • Florida

  • Georgia

  • Idaho (Expanded as of January 2025 in some counties)

  • Illinois

  • Iowa

  • Kentucky

  • Massachusetts

  • Michigan

  • Mississippi

  • Nebraska

  • New Mexico

  • New York

  • Ohio

  • South Carolina

  • Texas

  • Utah

  • Virginia

  • Washington

  • Wisconsin

Key Program Availability

It is important to remember that not all programs are offered in every state on the list. Molina's core business is generally distributed across the following plan types:

  • Medicaid: This is its largest segment, contracting directly with state governments to manage care for low-income populations.

  • Medicare: This includes Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, and more specifically, Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) for people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.

  • Marketplace (ACA Exchange): Molina offers subsidized plans through the state and federal health insurance marketplaces, often to serve as a bridge for members transitioning off Medicaid.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Put on my watch list to start a tracking position. As I study the company woiuld like to build a position to put into my Health Care basket.

RE: MOH

I added this when Ben brought it up and I took a look. Was $134.10/s on 11/21/2025 and now up 25.6% at $168.50/s.

Quick run, but think there is plenty of room to improve here. If you're believe in using TA (taboo!) for support/resistance then we've cleared the 50 SMA & 100 SMA. Some other things I look for not confirmed but seemed that low was a good base entry. Think a few of us here are looking at or are in and on this one.

Happy investing,
Sean
