Even better. The Sea People, who triggered the Late Bronze Age collapse, were probably climate refugees caused by the droughts. Now the various empires around the Mediterranean were weakened by the climate changes, but were able to rely on trade networks to stave off collapse. The Sea People disrupted those trade networks, with only the Egyptian civilization surviving. Barely, but surviving is better than the alternatives.
