I know. My friend cannot eat onions or garlic. When we go out to lunch she always has to question the server about ingredients.

That sounds like an aversion (not necessarily a true allergy) to all alliums. Don't know for sure, but your family physician can tell you for sure. Not sure if there's anything really bad about that... Might just be as simple as a dietary choice... On the other hand, it might be a sulfite allergy, which could be a bad thing for some people...

While the Lord's Prayer does ask God to "de liver us from evil", it says nothing about onions. I used to make liver in college. My roommate thought I was crazy. Of course, this was back in the day where you could buy liver much cheaper from a hospital for some reason, which somehow bothered him when I did that. Yep, a bit eccentric he was.
