Mongo, that's a very good point. If you follow an illegal order, chances are you will be thrown under the bus during a court-martial.

Reminds me of the iconic movie A Few Good Men, where the villain, Col. Jessup (played brilliantly by Jack), originally tries to cover-up his illegal order. He was perfectly fine with letting the two enlistees go to jail for following the order. (He would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for that "meddling Scientologist.")

Coming back to the real world, it's looking like Peacock Pete is going to throw Admiral Frank Bradley under the bus. That ought to make all the other generals and admirals working under the dEpArTmEnT oF wAr to wake the f--- up.
