Shift happens. Especially party shifts. It's part of American history.

A shift happened during JFK, when the Democrats started embracing civil rights and the Republicans responded with their "Southern Strategy."

Now we're seeing another shift happening right before our eyes, where the Republicans become the "party of the poor and working class" while the Democrats have drifted into the party of the elite.

That's why reminding people that Dr. King was a Republican, or that FDR was a Dem, has little meaning other than to troll.

Because I guarantee you that in 1941, you would have been a Democrat.
