in remaining neutral...no cross channel conflict .They are not
going to compete with their customers so buying idt and making

If TSMC can keep their fabs full and at high yield, they will make tons of money. I think they will keep their fabs full. Only the vary large semi companies can afford the capital expense of sustaining their own large, state-of-the-art, fabs. Even Digital had to get out. I think TSMC's business model is the wave of the future for everything but the highest performance devices.

MSFT stands to benefit in a similar way that TSMC will. They don't care who expands the market to 800 million boxes, as long as they get to put their OS on them. I suspect Windows CE will capture a very large share of the information appliance market, though.
