I recognize that and respect it. That's cool that he believes that, but I have a different take:Tariffs - The sheer volatile nature of his ever-changing tariff policy is doing immense harm, all for his own ego. Immigration - He has set up a virtual police state with ICE going around cosplaying as Judge Dredd. They focus on quantity over quality. All for show. All for his own ego. Law enforcement - Again, his National Guard deployment is all for show. This is not a sustainable path toward safer cities. The economy - I already mentioned tariffs above. It's having a detrimental effect on job creation and manufacturing for reasons obvious to anyone who isn't infatuated by the Trump personality cult. Foreign policy - What a complete joke. From isolationism to plain old "might makes right" fascism. Trump hates Europe and loves RuZZia. Trump wants to compete against China, but China is outplaying him all over the playfield. He's trying to make "Peace in our time" great again. War on Drugs - This is so stupid. We already fought a War on Drugs for decades. Probably trillions of dollars poured down the drain, and for what? We continue to have drugs flowing in by the boatloads and truckloads. All because we don't do enough to reduce demand. Culture wars - Trump is not fighting for Christian values. Trump is not a Christian. Trump is not a friend of the Christian church as a whole. Trump only uses MAGA "Christians" for his own selfish political agenda. The Lord's kingdom is being irreparably harmed as a result, and people will start moving away from America's Christian roots. Energy - Trump is all about "Drill Baby Drill" and reviving coal, which might have positive national security benefits. But again, the way he's doing it is completely ham-handed and only for show. And Trump absolutely hates solar and wind for no reason whatsoever other than aesthetics. Why dismantle a key part of America's energy independence just for your own ego? Health - Trump has given into the anti-vaxxers. The inmates are running the asylum. Our federal agencies have permanently lost all credibility, and food and drug companies have to workaround this freak show. Education - Trump wants to dismantle higher education and get them all subservient to him. He is doing absolutely nothing to try and lower the astronomical cost of tuition. He is also doing absolutely nothing to encourage tradesmenship and apprenticeship despite all the talk. He has no plan for transitioning America's workforce into an AI-dominated future, and this will harm America's competitiveness over the next 2-3 decades. Democracy - Trump thinks he's the law. He's bullying Congress into submission. He has the Supreme Court ready to reinterpret the Constitution to mean anything he wants. He's transforming America's democracy into an autocracy, and these transformational steps will never be reversed even when a Democrat replaces him. MAGA will eventually learn that what goes around comes around goes around. The war in Gaza: He cleverly ended that war, at least for now. Illegal immigration: Although we'll never get reliable numbers for border crossings this year, it's reasonable to assume that they're pretty much lower than ever before. Of course, the best way to convince migrants not to leave their shithole nations is to turn America into one. "Woke": Although the left is trying to stuff their "woke" legacy into a memory hole, I personally won't forget how they tried to push 47 genders, CRT, the 1619 Project, the virtue-signaling over "stolen land," and the transgender insanity upon the rest of us. That is now a distant memory.
