Unix is graphical also (where did you think GUI came from).
I assume you mean a text interface.

Also about connection speeds.. ISDN should give you basically
realtime response. Cable has problems (once your neighbors
also get access).

Marc,

I looked into Interquote and they offer nothing themselves, but a third party offers expensive software they say will work with that system. A friend of mine who uses a PC says that that software is truly awful and advised me against using it.

The short coverage does mean they are more optimistic about the stock, so it's not all bad that they've been covering.

Dirk: My cable company doesn't offer cable modem and I'd press them, but as is pointed out later, bandwidth decreases as users increase. So it may not be viable for me, living in a huge city.
