We will see how it really develops, but I see this as a bigger positive for AMD, since AMD has just been getting crumbs of the AI spending. China will not necessarily be in 97:3 ratio. One estimate from a brokarage even had AMD higher than NVDA in China. Even 90:10 would be a positive for AMD.

If we assume that Mi325 will get the same treatment as H200, in the US, Mi325 lagged behind Hopper by some months, and in software lagged NVDA even more back then. So now, in China, they would compete on more equal footing. Hardware would be available at the same time, both would use most recent software (which AMD has in Open Source).
