Of course Russia wants it to end. No they don't. This Empire exists for war and expansion. The goal of Empire did not change under communist rule and now under KGB rule. Putin is afraid of million of professional killers coming home with not enough jobs for them and inability to convert military economy to a peaceful one. So, he will continue to kill people until he will be forced to stop - and Trump will help him to go on with forever war.
