Joachim, My point was that every government, regardless of party, has reacted to security threats with broad, sometimes overly broad—travel measures. That is a statement of historical fact, not an endorsement of any specific policy. Classic retreat tactic. Justify policies that you admit are overly broad without claiming to endorse them. This isn't one of those cases where the overreach is understandable because the circumstances are dire. This is one of those cases where the overreach is by design and based on sheer LIES. Your analogy to "general security threats" is part of that lie. You also keep demanding that I explain how to distinguish “secular Persians” from “Iranian Muslims” as if I personally proposed a system to categorize people by religion. When you keep portraying Sharia as a national security threat and not a matter of religious freedom, you better propose such a system. Of course, we all know why you do that. It's all to justify the authoritarianism that we are seeing from the so-called "conservative" right these days. No system, no rule of law. Just trust in our Dear Leaders, because Trump is the only agency with any legitimacy in your eyes. Tenchusatsu
