Greg,

If my memory serves me correctly US Robotics has TI manufacturer their
x2 modem chips. ROC manufacturers 56k Flex chips. However now that the industry has standardized on 56k modems it should not affect ROC until ADSL technology modems become mainstream. By then maybe ROC will go after ADI not AMD. ADI is more of an attractive take over candidate than AMD. ADI's margins are good and they growing their market share in DSP's which have very good profit margins. ADI also has the ADSL technology that ROC may want.
