Agree, going through that right now with my Advantage plan, where they will not pay 20% until $1200+ deductible met, but that's for simple 1hr outpatient. Who knows with something major...Don't quote as could be more, and thanks for reminder... calling in 2 hours.. )

Tell them to look into AARP Supplemental (United Healthcare)
I had in 21 but changed b/c Advantage would pay gym membership. AARP doesn't..

AARP pays for THE 20% Medicare doesn't and as of last weeks phone call... annual deductible is $283 and covers everything after.
Sister year ago had few procedures totaling about $80k and all was covered. Parents here same having cancer and other..

Fwiw Sis has Dog kennel/grooming business in Florence Oregon (previous owned the pet store off 101) and stuck her hand in a dog fight trying to break it up, then having several thumb bone graphs some becoming infected. They paid everything... If ya need her # let me know seeing have visited the coast.. ) Btw, no incidents since and it's my handiwork on all 6 pens on the 4 acres/garage/shed housing the dogs.. )

geeze 70k for a hospital visit. back in the day my buddies and I went to SIR in Kent Washington to watch the drag races and to get loaded on beer. One time this fellow, a friend of a friend from Williams lake a small town In BC, fell off the bleachers and wrecked his leg, He went to the local emerg and they told him he needed an operation. He paid what money he had, they gave him a few pain killers and someone drove him home the 400+ miles
