There is no secret to becoming a "Shareholder of Record". Just have your brokerage firm send you a stock certificate for some or all of the shares you own. Then you as an individual will be on the companies books, you will get mailings directly rather than through the brokerage house, and you will be counted in that magic number that appears in the official company stats. The down side is when it's sell time you have to mail in the certificate. But let's not sell, let's hold for the long term. William
