Using optics for networking is not new. I have been using a workstation for years and the old Apollo(now HP) used optics for it token ring networks. So far, the movement of "electrons" hasn't bandlimited networks so that is probably why more vendors don't use optical transmission. The technology is available, but its there sufficient gain for its use?

Craig, spend some time on COMS here next week. Any idea about the earning estimate of 0.14 for the coming earning report due around March 20? In case COMS earning comes out short, how low the earning has to be before COMS pre-warn, and about when? Did they warn last Q before earning?
