I get where you might think far fewer imports from China might be a good thing. But it is not rocket science that this means much higher prices for American consumers. It is also not rocket science to understand that another reason less imports are coming to America - besides the higher cost associated with the tariffs - is that the economy is sputtering.

Free markets; do you think it is a good idea to keep Chinese electric cars out of America? Even though those cars are far superior and cheaper than our own?
