Inode,
I think it is clearly an acknowledgement that neurodivergent individuals can be exceptionally bright talents and it is utterly stupid to leave that talent out of the pool.
Give me a break. Half of my employees would have been classified as "neurodivergent" had they lived their childhoods in today's era. Every school in Silicon Valley is dealing with a lot of kids who are "on the spectrum," as the experts like to say.

No one is discriminating against the "neurodiverse." Everyone is responsible for his or her own actions and his or her own stated views.

That includes Elon Musk, whose own "neurodivergence" has gotten him to where he is now, but whose sheer arrogance is also leading to his downfall. What, an otherwise highly intelligent man can't figure out why people were vandalizing Teslas?
