The nation of Russia and the Russian people originated in Kiev. Odessa was founded by Catherine the Great. Ukraine is Russia. That said, all words and actions indicate that Putin merely wants to protect the besieged Russians in the eastern provinces who declared their independence from the Ukrainian regime and its neo-Nazi footsoldiers. Are you going to cheer on Putin when he rolls into Finland and Poland too? I will give a momentary nod of approval when Poland rolls into Ukraine and reclaims Lviv. Then, I will return to thinking about affairs that concern America. Tom
