Growing up no one had aircon in their houses, it only got hot for maybe two weeks in the summer. Now everyone who can afford it has aircon, this year I had mine on from the spring, summer to fall. Our climate is way hotter now. We are getting these Atmospheric rivers no one heard about until just a few years ago, this is what's happening to Washington State and BC right now. No shortage of water but not the type we want. I have never been to Alaska but have been pretty close fishing in Northern BC, it got pretty hot a couple days bobbing on the ocean in a small boat. The lodge where we stayed had no aircon.
