I think the reason I like the drillers is because of that distant glazed over look that Maria gets when she talks about the "drillers"

They just announced the Merrill downgrade on squawkbox at 8am. CNBC guys were speculating that maybe ML didn't know about the merger, so perhaps it was issued earlier. Mark Haynes editorialized that the downgrade was ridiculous (i.e., who knows more -- the guys in the business (DI and HAL) or the ML analysts?). Of course, the theme of this morning's show on CNBC is how untrustworthy analyst recommendations are.
