Gunman's vehicle contained Islamic State flags - and trip under investigation
The vehicle registered to the younger gunman, Naveed Akram, contained improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and two homemade Islamic State flags, NSW police commissioner Mal Lanyon has said.

He confirmed media reports that the father and son travelled to the Philippines last month and said police are investigating why they made the trip.
