Additional question
(1) where does the Foundation source high purity quartz en.wikipedia.org from, and if from the Empire, might Empire cut off such supply resulting in collapse of supply chain of legacy chips from the Foundation ? (2) what, if anything, is the Foundation doing about the potential hiccup ?

Last question for this day, as and when the Foundation achieves self-sufficiency in high-purity quartz one way or another path 2026 - 2027. what happens to the economics of Spruce Pine - cratering sand pit or imploded solvency ? What is the difference between rare earth and high-purity quartz, if any ?
