In a special election for State Senate District 37, Democrat Gary Clemons won with a staggering 72.5% of the vote, defeating Republican Calvin Leach, who received just 25%. This is an almost unheard-of overperformance: VP Kamala Harris won this district by just 6 points in 2024. That means Clemons outperformed the 2024 results by roughly 42 points. blue wave bitches
