An example is such analyses tend to ignore the fact that NY and CA charge massive state income taxes, which are then deductible on the federal tax return.

So? Are you trying to claim that because they could pay higher federal taxes, that means they are subsidized somehow?

Like I have posted before, for a CPA you play fast and loose with your "perfect" numbers.

Inode,
An example is such analyses tend to ignore the fact that NY and CA charge massive state income taxes, which are then deductible on the federal tax return. But property in those states is massively more expensive than it is in TX or Arkansas, so taxapyers in Cali get far more federal deductions simply because your states are less affordable. How's that my problem?
As a CPA guy, you of all people should have known that those deductions are currently capped at $10K ($5K for individual filers).

But hey, I love watching you squirm when faced with the facts.

The only way to deal with MAGA is with the facts.
