So yes I get that they are cracking down on some of the behavior that has gone on in regards to obstructing ICE. To mildly state "the other side of the coin" some of the tactics that has gone on has put the ICE enforcers and their families at significant risk. Not trying to demean the work your wife does or is doing and certainly, (without ascribing blame for why this has come about) it is unfortunate that these tactics need to be in place.
God bless you and your wife and the work she and you do to help the disadvantaged.

My wife wasn't actually protesting ICE in the summer. She wanted to be in the courtroom for the asylum hearing for our former house guest.

However, the immigration attorney told everyone that it would not be good to have such a packed court room. It would escalate things and the outcome could be bad.

Everyone instead decamped to the street.

We were later told the numbers and civility may have directly led to the outcome of allowing our former guest to remain in the US. She's in her 2nd year of college and working towards a degree in nursing. She's on full scholarship per the insistence of the entire governance of the university.
