When Ouster merged with Velodyne it was noted as a merger of equals. Velodyne then had 300 employees.

I suspect Ouster had similar numbers and combined numbers were cut in half post the merger and are only now growing. With AEye, Aeva and Innoviz Ouster is going to need to step up their efforts to stay in the ADAS race. May Mobility is telling.
