Russia is importing refined petroleum products instead of exporting them. Is that true or not? Lots of reports and videos of the price of gasoline at retail in Russia having skyrocketed, so there seems to be supporting evidence. Energy shortages that drive that kind of price increases in such a short time indicates a serious and wide-ranging set of problems. Because it impinges on pretty much everything. Including getting products to markets. Given that I am pretty sure that Russia doesn't do much of their harvest with sickles any more, it also has to have impacted the harvest. Just a guess on my part, though. What is pretty obvious is that the sanctions have greatly restricted the importing of food. So if it can't be produced domestically can't get on the shelves.

Russia may have the capacity to 20X. But manufacturing requires input of raw materials and/or semi-finished products. Sanctions have crippled imports of those and the energy shortages cripple the ability to get stuff where it needs to be.

Even in the best of times, Russian logistics sucks rocks through teeny, tiny straws. This was illustrated when that kilometers long column of vehicles ran out of fuel on the way to Kyiv. As far as logistics go, the logistics chains for the Russian military are the best they have. Yet they lost a bunch of equipment because it ran out of gas on the way to the target.

What does your echo chamber say?

At the same time, Russia has capability and arsenal to do 20X.

Are you implying Russia might nuke Ukraine ?

Kill, what's the term, Little Ruskies. Like a million cousins in a single wack. That sums up the reason Putin has to be stopped, put on trial and held prisoner for the rest of his life. Same as Sadam Husain (spelling ?). You gotta be shitting me.
