From geostationary orbit, that signal achieved a downlink speed of 1 gigabit per second (Gbps)—a performance level that, for now, places it far ahead of most commercial satellite internet services.
To be able to understand a performance metric, we would need to know relative AO-MDR/Starlink latency numbers. Since the Chinese system is in geostationary orbit and not LEO, I think this could matter a lot.
