Jim, RE: lucky enough to buy Intel and not "needing" all the tools available? I didn't need Tarrot cards, astrology, or TA. Fundamentals, and business sense were adequate. I want to keep this interchange useful. My effort is to get to the truth on the usefulness / effectiveness of TA. I'm interested in putting together and experiment with someone (like yourself) who claims to use TA as a tool. (In order to be useful, it must add to one's ability to predict stock direction.) I'd like to see if someone can show TA to be predictive base on a sampling of historical charts. Still look for someone to take me up on it. Until then, TA is bunk to me, but I'm open enough see.
