Rocky, it sounds like your time isn't worth enough to you to warrant using a Jaz for video segments. Your prev post was about what you
considered the proper/cheaper way to produce a vid. segment.

the question about how long to record to videotape is to verify
that you can't go faster than real time.

the question about recording to a jaz disk (I meant from hard-drive
to jaz disk) was to illustrate how much faster it is to transfer the
video segment to a cart vs a tape.

My point is that someone doing lots of video work without a huge rack
of vcr's all recording away in real time would save a lot of time using jaz disks instead of tape. If you're talking about a one-off
and aren't concerned with the disk-to-tape recording time, by all means, use the hard drive and vcr and whatever you do don't decide
half-way through to change a frame or two ON THE FINAL MEDIA.

I'd rather be able to record 25 minutes of video onto portable media
in a few seconds/minutes than real-time onto a vhs tape. That's my
point.
