RE: I’ll dial it back and avoid overwhelming the board with further DSM or project-related posts.

I like 'em myself. These have a great deal of investing value IMO. They go into a lot of detail why the model does or doesn't recommend something. Nice to dig into and explore the reasoning. I see them with a lot of value if someone finds the model fits with their investing style/perspective and may be something they find useful.

Scrolling past something I don't want to read is one of the simpler things to do in life. I haven't figured out why people don't do this rather than trying to restrict what others talk about. I have zero CEFs and no intention of buying any but I don't send private messages to people telling them they're talking too much about them.

Then again, I have a problem anytime anyone wants to restrict discussion. IMO that's up to Chowder. He's the moderator. We don't need a bunch of self-imposed ones who want to regulate what we should talk about. (longer rant deleted)

It was privately brought to my attention that I may have been dominating the board with my recent posts, primarily around DSM-related content.

QTI.

I appreciate the work you've put in on DSM. I probably haven't read all the posts in enough detail to fully understand the content- I tend to skim to the bottom for the answer :).

Andy

re: I’ll dial it back and avoid overwhelming the board with further DSM or project-related posts.

I don't post much but if the moderator didn't suggest it, I find it offensive. It is very easy to skip over posts if one doesn't want to read them. Speaking of your posts specifically, I read some, skimmed some, and ignored some. They are investing related with actionable information, with an explanation of the process. It can help people here and I suspect helps you to do it and explain.

Share Away!

Of course, if the moderator said something...
'Never Mind.'

QTI - Ignore the private reply about too much posting. I am very intrigued by your new model and will be making some portfolio adjustments incorporating suggestions from your model. I will start with a few nibbles and monitor what happens. I abhor comments such as “you are doing too much” or “you are taking up too much space.” If we aren’t interested in any comment we can simply scroll on by. I do that when things get too political. It’s my job to monitor my own satisfaction. I am also intrigued by the refinements in your model - this is how creativity works - creating and editing.

RE: I’ll dial it back and avoid overwhelming the board with further DSM or project-related posts.

In my opinion, please do not "dial it back". It is quite simple to move on to the next post if one is not interested in any specific post. I find the information most interesting, and while I am still getting used to it, I can see the potential value it has in making investing decisions.

As others stated, Please do not dial back. Unless it's from Chowder, ignore it, as others have stated what you're doing is valuable.

It's easy to skip what one doesn't want to read.

I for one did not find your posts dominating, I found them interesting and it was fun seeing the evolution of a new feature. But I get that others may like a dial back. Great work!! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I’ll dial it back and avoid overwhelming the board with further DSM or project-related posts.

I've also found your posts to be very interesting, and I agree with the others who said if it wasn't chowder, who said it was too much, then please continue.
