I was beginning to come to the same conclusions.. The combined company may well have better business probabilities because of current opportunities coming up with Sable and Terra Nova. Geographically Davie is in an excellent position.

The comment that there is a need for 450 drilling rigs internationally sounds exciting. If memory serves correctly, there is a lot of discussion about deep water rigs in the Reading and Bates (RB) 10k.
These rigs are getting to be tremendously sophisticated and expensive.
