Yes, Scott Adams speaks about the world as he sees it - about his personal intellectual adventure. I find (bold “I” here -g) that some people have autonomous, more or less independent views of things. Others adopt another persons - or groups - views. Since groups can’t have independent views, they have to get them from someone - so, it always comes back to a person.

Life is too short for anyone to have [based] views on everything - so, often we have no choice but to maintain limited, often borrowed, not well developed views. (It's nice when we know what we know and what we don’t). We keep learning. Why? I don’t know. Something drives us.
