CSCO is intruding into COMS' LAN turf and INTC intruding into COMS' and CSCO's LAN/WAN turf. At the same time COMS is taking aim ot ASND's modem/concentrator market and INTC is aiming to integrate modems into its PC chips. It would seem the only safe stock to be in is INTC. Check these stories out: CSCO is expanding its LAN 10/100 Mbps hubs product line. biz.yahoo.com INTC has been intruding big time in COMS' LAN NICs. INTC recently announced an array of network hubs and routers and claims it networking business expanded 40% to $500 million revenues in 1997. Yet it says that for enterprise networking products it relies on its alliances formed with CSCO et al, but it is nonetheless taking aim at the SOHO network market in which CSCO's products predominate. biz.yahoo.com biz.yahoo.com Thus it would appear INTC is out to eat everybody's lunch as appetizers in its quest to sell more and faster PCs. Is INTC a credible threat to CSCO? Thanks. Tulvio
