You can't tell the players without a program:
The opportunity here for the Southern Transitional Council (STC) is to go towards separation, to have a southern state, which has been its dream for decades.

It’s a different moment, and it’s instrumental in recalibrating the region. Israel’s war on Gaza has changed everything. It changed the perception of national security within major states in the region. It changed also the way small players are regarding the possibilities and potential they can build on.

These are all issues to take into consideration. Plus, we have to look at the differences between major players Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. It’s been going on a long time, and they have had differences.

But today there is a reason why the Saudis decided to openly declare there is a real problem. They were always trying to cover these differences, given the idea of Gulf or Arab unity and the presence of the regional rival Iran. But now it’s different.
