If someone else is shuffling and they are not in on the trick, then the deck has to be gimmicked. But even if it is, you still have to be able to casually manipulate those cards once you find them. The main point being, even if you know how a card tracking trick is done, it still takes years to get good enough at it to reproduce it. Ditto for sleight of hand tricks.
