Traveler,
I doubt its about the oil this time. The entire world market is awash in cheap oil at the present time.
Trump claims it's about the oil, but that doesn't mean much given that nothing Trump says is reliable.

I personally think Trump is trying to wag the dog here. His domestic policy is failing, the Epstein files continue to be a thorn in his side, and he's losing his ironclad grip on the Republican Party.

Going back to the oil, I only bring it up to address the MAGA fantasies about Americans (and Venezuelans) supposedly profiting off of Venezuela's vast natural resources. We simply can't get to them without political stabilization.

And I don't see any evidence that the Trump regime has any sound strategy for said stabilization. Marco the Narco in particular is more focused on sucking Trump's little penis than on articulating plans for a post-Maduro future.
