Steve:
Was CPQ Stuffing the Channel? Do they have much remaining inventory? If not, shouldn't CNBC be sued for liable? I'm all confused with this.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1998--At a special meeting of the
board of directors of
Wade Cook Financial Corp. (WADE: OTCBB) on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, the
board voted to proceed on a share buyback program.

The company will buy back up to 1 million shares within the next six
months. There are currently
approximately 60 million shares outstanding with about 20 million on the
public float.

A company spokesman said, "The WADE stock at current price is, in our
opinion, under valued.
After the last 3-for-1 stock split, the stock is on a dip and we want to
buy good stock at good
prices. We feel ours is one such stock."

The company said it will buy these shares in its own brokerage accounts
and in the accounts of
certain subsidiary corporations, which are part of its consolidated
financial statement.

Steve,

What your take on this...?

<<ÿAnalysts say higher inventory levels also affect IBM. But of the major PC vendors Hewlett-Packard has done the best job of managing inventories. So for now it seems Compaq is the most affected of the computer companies.
ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ"They need to get to a position where they can be price competitive as quickly as possible. They are definitely in a difficult position," said Gardner.
ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿThat's because the choices Compaq faces to ease the problems aren't ideal. A dramatic price cut means profit margins will be hurt, but slowing production to reduce inventory affects top-line revenue growth. Analysts say that, at least for the short-term, there's a lot of downside potential for Compaq.>>

Thanks,

Bill
