I think I see what happened. There is a Canadian company that makes dry suits. The name of the company is Mustang Survival. It seems inevitable that Canadians (and others) might refer to a dry suit made by Mustang Survival as a Mustang Survival Suit. Mustang Survival's website doesn't do much to make that distinction, as it refers to its dry suits as "Mustang Survival Drysuit" That leaves room for confusion. Dry suits in general are not technically classified as survival suits, but dry suits made by Mustang Survival might be commonly referred to as survival suits simply because the name of the company that made them includes the word survival. Mustang Survival dry suits are work suits, not survival suits. Differences Between Dry Suits and Survival Suits Dry Suit: A dry suit is designed to keep the wearer completely dry by sealing out water. It is often made from breathable materials and is used in various water sports and activities. Survival Suit (Immersion Suit): A survival suit, also known as an immersion suit, is specifically designed for emergency situations. It protects against hypothermia when immersed in cold water and provides buoyancy.
