You have to rank the 12 teams in order of victory.

To amplify what Carolyn wrote, since you picked the Rams, Packers, Jaguars, Eagles, Patriots, and Texans to all win, which of these teams do you feel most confident will win? You assign them a 12.

In theory, you would assign the next most confident of winning team an 11. Also, in theory, whichever team your 12 played would be your lowest (1) rated team, and your 11's opponent next to lowest (2)... but you are not obligated to do that... and in some cases, i.e. to hedge an unsure pick, it might be good strategy not to be so mathematically rigid. Or, you can be like Don, and randomly assign numbers, which is undoubtedly why his 12 team is the Pats.

Hope this helps.

- Jeff

P.S. If you rank the 12 teams in order, I can enter them into the grid for you.
