Qone0, They are not trained to keep firing. Reread what I said ... And they are trained to keep firing *until the threat is ended*. That's why shots #2 and #3 are justifiable IF shot #1 was justified. In any case, the standard for use of lethal force is "reasonable fear of death or great bodily harm." And the defense doesn't have to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecution has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there was no reasonable fear here. Sincerely, Tenchusatsu, esq.
