It is my understanding that a higher number on both the trin and vix forecasts an oversold condition.For example,if you look at Oct and Dec charts you can see they both "caught" the bottom and if you bought calls it was great.Right now,IMHO the trin is still slightly bullish.Sure, I think this market IS overbought but we are at new highs as I type!???I hesitate to buy puts for March...IF I were to buy puts they would be for April.We are not in a blow off top yet.This market is still strong,no matter how ridiculous that may seem.I don't know what the magic number is and would love to learn why 6 and not 7 is one.
