Some random thoughts concerning CPQ: it appears that at least some of the conjectures that Jim Kelley and I had concerning CPQ were correct. It now appears that they have been stuffing the channels, and sell-through is not what they had hoped for. This will probably create downward pressure on retail prices in the near term. If they bite the bullet there could be a big down-draft in CPQ share price as they report on their first quarter.

It would be interesting to see gross margin numbers on the "sub-zeros" as they pass through the marketing channel.

Regarding direct sales and BTO --- "there's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip."

Regards,

Paul

Don't own any CPQ, and not interested in playing options on it, especially when Dell is the clear choice for consistent winnings.
