I totally understand what you're going on about, I simply do not agree with you as to nature and extent and I think the reason is you lack any understanding of the issues at stake. It became entirely clear to me in November that Trump was making plans to reinstate the Monroe Doctrine as it was consistent with the plans he had clearly set his sites on. He is not going to "invade" Greenland or Venezuela. But he wants stable governments in both places, and he wants the US to be able to control the entire hemisphere if needed. That makes sense: These are the most important places to be protected locally allied with. Trump understands that -- - Venezuela is a potential target for countries who are seeking oil which potentially could put dangerous conflict too nearby to tolerate; and - Control of Greenland is simply too important to ignore given its essential nature for protecting us from Russia. You can't just leave this uninhabited land sitting there forever. Greenland should make an offer. Trump, better than almost anyone, understands the value of controlling real estate. Other nations may be invited to join this alliance, to make the relationships stronger than mere weak or implicit connections. You should not see every Trump actions as evil until you can establish grounds for that claim.
