To All, And then there was ONE! Smith Salami came out today and downgraded Compaq due to the fact that they both stuffed the channel last quarter to make their numbers, but are doing so again this quarter. Despite assurances from Compaq touts and special interests, not from the company itself, which has been mum on the channel stuffing, there are too many CPQ boxes in distribution. Dell now seems to be the only boxmaker growing exceptionally fast without tricks, and I think it is more that I don't know what tricks they are using than that they aren't using tricks. -g- Good luck, MB
