You almost sound as thought you don't understand that NATO IS the United States. That's true. When US President tries to destroy NATO he will succeed. The foundation that was holding peace for the last 80 years will be destroyed The peace in Europe was based on US nuclear power, now US nuclear umbrella is gone, every country big or small would be eager to have nukes. The world in the next decades becomes so dangerous - nuclear war may start anytime, anywhere. Thank you, Mr. Trump.

Denmark and the rest of NATO protect it. Admittedly, if the US were to decide to attack, that could be dicey. But Russia has the second best military fighting in Ukraine.
