Before we go beserk, and I haven't checked whether someone has commented yet (so if someone has, I apologize), the article you linked to is what we have been talking about from my intial post. It is now starting to snowball into a media event<GGG>.

This is a good news story for CYMI fans. They are talking about the PSM(phase shift mask) from the maske shops like DPMI and PLAB. This work along with off axis optical proximity illumination work (another buzzword which is in the same category of lithographic enhancement techniques) and other advances are keeping the x-ray and e-beam lithography equipment set at bay. My dissertation on "Basic Lithography" mentioned this.

Quartz in the article = reticles with enhancement techniques like PSM or OAI that let you stretch optical lithography.
Paint in the article = photosensitive materials that allow the exposing of finer detailed geometries.
Optical Lithography should be considered the 3 types I explained in my previous post: Flashlight, Narrow band and DUV.

These techniques have been in use to extend i-line lithography down into the 0.35u and 0.25u range where it is running out of gas.
At 0.25u and below, DUV (Deep Ultraviolet) is supposed to take over. CYMI provides a DUV excimer laser for these applications. So there is no cause for concern. THIS IS A GOOD THING. This means the wolf (x-ray, soft x-ray, e-beam, etc.) are being pushed out even further into the future for implementation as a replacement for optical lithography. These guys have been pushed out for close to 2 decades<GGG>.

Again, you have nothing to be concerned about. This is good. As a matter of fact, this is GRRRR-EAT! We are getting excellent exposure. All we really need is for CYMI to get off their butts and associate this article with their product. The excimer laser is the only thing that is at that wavelength. The article I just posted used the phrase "ISI, a little known stepper company". Our only concern here is when CYMI goes public and says, "Yeah and they did it with our laser".

Good things have been said and good things can happen if handled properly. Look at the DPMI price movement. It has to be partly due to this. Am I energized??? You bet!!! Therefore, temper these comments.
